Have you felt like there was something missing from Minecraft? A sense of survival? Well, we were wondering how you guys would like a plugin that makes you eat food, or else you die!

General Overview



Each player is given a hunger value, starting at 0. Every so often, at a user-specified interval, every user's hunger level goes up by a specified increment. This goes on until their hunger level reaches 100, and they begin to starve. At every following interval, damage will be taken until food is eaten, restoring hunger levels back to 0.

I think it would be a good idea if it did not go up to fast, so my vote is yes.

We could set certain time periods to be 'hunger periods', where the plugin would be enabled and you'd have to eat, and other times where it would be disabled and you would play minecraft normally.

While this idea is interesting, its kind of a unnecessary feature in my opinion.

Reasons:
1. Food is easily obtainable.
Self explanatory. All you would have to do is go to spawn and buy some food which will take all of 30 seconds. The shops reduce what would be a "survival experience" and turns it into grocery shopping.

2. The consequence is hardly devastating.
Yes. You may take damage. But, you would just heal it with food anyway. The only consequence for not eating would be the consumption of a loaf of bread or a bowl of soup. Which in turn would only delay damage caused by starvation.

While I'm at it, a question.

Whats stopping me from building a pool of lava in my home, then every time I'm starving, storing my items, jump into said pool, and respawn. Unless the hunger doesn't reset when you respawn, nothing is.

Tahuv has a great point. All it means is more time wasted on non important things. How will stopping everything just for a slice of bread be fun?
